Rerum novarum is an encyclical issued by Pope Leo XIII on 15th May 1981 with which for the first time the Catholic Church took stance on social issues and developed the modern Catholic social teaching.
This Latin Edition is based on the volume LEONIS XIII – PONTIFICIS MAXIMI ACTA VOL XI. ROMAE – EX TYPOGRAPHIA VATICANA – 1892. It was produced for the National Committee Celebration Centenary of the death of Pope Pecci, Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities Italy.
